Combined NSL Hampton Roads Chapter and ASNE Meeting

RADM Zirkle supports the U.S. Navy’s mission to build one Columbia-class ballistic missile submarine and two Virginia-class attack submarines per year. Additionally, he oversees SIB workforce development programs in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region. A qualified submarine warfare officer, he served for 36 years in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve retiring as a two-star admiral. While on active duty as a flag officer, his assignments included Commander, Submarines NATO and Chief of Staff, U.S. Naval Forces Europe/Africa and the SIXTH Fleet. He also commanded nine Navy Reserve units. In his civilian career, he has held leadership roles in marketing, sales and general management across several industries. Most recently he served as president and CEO of Defense Maritime Solutions, a leading provider of OEM propulsion systems and services to the US Navy and Coast Guard.
