Lieutenant Commander Andrea Howard hails from Norcross, Georgia, and graduated as one of the top twenty Midshipmen in the US Naval Academy Class of 2015. She was a Political Science and Arabic double major with a 4.00 GPA, Commander of the Drum and Bugle Corps during its Centennial Year, and the recipient of the Class of 1979 Trident Scholar Prize. As a Marshall Scholar, she went on to King’s College London and the University of Oxford, earning an MA in Science & Security and an MSc in Global Governance & Diplomacy with highest honors. Serving as a U.S. Naval Institute Editorial Board member and earning the 2023 CAPT Joy Bright Hancock Leadership Award, Andrea completed her first submarine tour on USS OHIO (SSGN-726) and currently serves as the Navigator and Operations Officer on USS NEW JERSEY (SSN-796).
In Person meeting will be held in the Norfolk Room at Sewells Point Golf Course. Deli plate meal service will be provided following the presentation.
